First week of August, we did get some
relief with some rain and cooler
weather. We had a morning where it
was 44 degrees F (that is quite a change).

* Dad celebrated his 82nd birthday ~ we
stopped for a visit and ice cream treats.

The sun is setting earlier now and we
are getting the golden glow.
The Ol' Amur Maple is starting to
get some different shades of green.
Hubby picked up hay to feed the horses
for the winter. We bought from the
same family as a few years ago. The
kids were quite young then and all running
around with no shoes, one was building
a round pen for their horses.
Now those kids are grown up and actually
running the business. Boy, does time fly!
We visited Prairie Bell Flower Farm,
daughter and family treated me a summer
gift for my birthday. It is always a fun time
and is so pretty there.

The zinnias at the cemetery are really
starting to bloom.
Holding on to Summer....
